Burn Ban Notice
Burn Ban - OFF
BURN BAN INFORMATION: 360-676-6934
Annual Burn Bans will likely start in June and continue until September of every year.
When burning, please use extreme caution and understand your responsibilities! There is zero-tolerance for burning illegal material and the party involved will be sent to Washington's Northwest Clean Air Agency which has further legal authority to level fines and liens on property.
Violations of burn restrictions can result in a minimum $250.00 fine. In addition, if you have an illegal fire that escapes or needs to be extinguished by the fire department, you may be held financially responsible for fire suppression costs and may be criminally charged for reckless burning.
All outdoor burning requires a permit in Point Roberts. Burn permits can be obtained at the fire station and are free of charge.
Please burn safely, responsibly and considerately for the community.
