BURN BAN OFF September 20, 2021

By order of the Fire Marshal’s Office effective Monday, September 20, 2021 at 0800 all outdoor burning is allowed.

Please use extreme caution! Vegetation is still recovering from the long stretch of dry weather and is susceptible to fire spread.

All open burning requires a permit in Point Roberts. Please come by the fire hall to obtain a permit for recreational, residential and land clearing fires. If we are not available, please contact Chief Carleton at 303-589-5565 in order to acquire a permit. We normally have members available around the fire hall in the afternoon and on weekends. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Violations of these burn restrictions can result in a minimum $250.00 fine.  In addition, if you have an illegal fire that escapes or needs to be extinguished by the fire department, you may be held financially and criminally responsible

Thank you for helping keep our community safe!

Christopher Carleton, Fire Chief
